User Guide for Demand Side

Step 1: Account registration
Use your mobile number to register Clouderwork account

Step 2: Browser service side or hosted projects
After registration, you can easily host any projects on the platform. Once the project is approved, it will be available for service side to bid. You can also use “control panel” to review and manage projects, to shortlist suitable candidate, and to hire the right service provider.

Step 3: Submitting contract and payment deposit
After you selected the right service provider, you can draft and send the contract to service side for signing.
It is suggested to communicate with service side beforehand. This can minimise the chance of rejected contracts.
If you want to modify contract detail, you can retreat your contract and re-employ the service side.

Step 4: accepting contract
There are two payment type available, you can put either one into your contract for your needs.

Fixed-price:
You can divide your task into different milestones, each milestone has specified time and payment, workers can proceed to the next task once the submitted work is validated. Of course, you can put the whole project as one, without setting milestones.

Time-based:
You can set maximum working hour and its hour rates. The payment is paid per week or per project. The work is record by service side using log sheets. You can validate the working hours per week. This feature will be available in the future, please wait for our latest announcement.

Step 5: Work validation
After the work is validated by demand side, the payment deposit will be transferred to service sides’ account automatically.

Note: for hourly-paid contract, the validation is based on user- or auto- uploaded log sheets. For fix-priced contract, the validation is based on the attachment submitted by service side.

Step 6: Termination of contract
After the work is completed, you can end the contract. If there are abnormalities in the progress, you can also terminate the contact, if there are dispute on unpaid work, you can apply 3rd party mediation from Clouderwork

User Guide for Service Side

Step 1: Account registration
Use your mobile number to registrar Clouderwork account

Step 2: Complete personal information
Once you are registered as service side, you can start impressing employers by building up your personal information. Project bidding will be available once you completed the information.

Step 3: Project bidding
You can use functions like “recommended” or “follow” to look for your ideal projects.
After checking the details of the project, you can click “place bid” and replied with your quotation and expected completion time. Demand side can review you bid instantly.
If you are well-talented, the platform may recommend you to certain projects, you may receive project invitation from demand side.

Step 4: Communicate for project details
Demand side will contact suitable candidate for discussing project detail and payroll through Clouderwork IM tool.

Step 5: Submission and accepting contract
After both sides agreed with the project detail, demand side will send you a contract, you can start to work once you accepted the contract. If you are well-talented, demand side may send you the contract directly. You may contact demand side to request a better term and request an updated contract through platform’s IM tool.
When submitting fixed-price contract, demand side have to pay deposit of the all project milestones. While for Time-based contract, demand side have to pay deposit of the first week.

Step 6: Task completion and validation
Validating fixed-price contract.
Fix-priced contract may contain one or more milestones, you can upload your work as attachment and apply for validation.
If demand side is not satisfied with your work, you have to amend your work until demand side validate your work.
After demand side agree to pay, you can work on next milestone of the project

Validating Time-based contracts
A. Time-based contracts validate on weekly basis. Once service side accept the offer, the work started automatically. Service side have to record your work in log sheet.

B. The platform provides two ways to submit log sheet
a) Download “Clouderwork desktop APP” the APP will snapshot and upload your log sheet automatically.

b) Adding logs manually

C. The log sheet of previous week will be submitted on 12:00 of the seventh day for validation

Demand side may challenge your log sheet, you may have to delete those entries which demand side thinks inappropriate. After both sides agreed with the logs, the platform will release the payment to service side. The work of coming week will be automatically started when demand side can pay deposit for coming week.

Step 7: Termination of contract
After the work is completed, you can end the contract. If there are abnormalities the progress, you can also terminate the contact. If there are dispute on unpaid work, you can apply 3rd party mediation from Clouderwork

How to handle a dispute?

What to do when there is dispute on the contract?

1: How does the platform handle dispute

Step 1 – Dispute surfaced:
If demand side and service side have unpaid balance, and demand side choose “refuse to pay and end contract” or service side choose “I demand payment”, the dispute is formed. The platform will inform the service side.

Step 2 – Platform intervention:
Clouderwork customer service will communicate with both sides at once for gathering information.

Step 3 – Conflict mediation:
Clouderwork will suggest a solution based on the investigation result. If either side disagree with the suggestion, further mediation will be conducted.

Step 4 – Announce mediation result:
If mediation doesn’t work, the platform will act as 3rd party arbitrator using available information. It will determine how the payment should be settled. The arbitration result will be sent to both sides.

2: What is considered in handling dispute
Dispute handling are based on just, fair and open manner. It based on the contract agreed by the both side, and handled by the platform according to evidences like product and communication history.

Remarks:
1: Clouderwork can ensure genuine evidence by using their communication tools and task management system.

2: Service side have responsibility to prove their project progress to both the platform and demand side.

3: Demand side have the responsibility to provide task validation report to both the platform and service side.
